Columbia Men's Golf Team to Host The Tuxedo Autumn Invitational

UPDATED: (September 29, 2014) - The Columbia Men's Golf Team played host to The Tuxedo Autumn Invitational this weekend and did it in winning fashion. As a team, they finished in first place at a total of 53-over par, winning by eight shots.

Met Area Well Represented at USGA Men's State Team Championship

UPDATED (October 3, 2014) - Three Met Area teams made the trip to French Lick Resort in French Lick, Indiana to take on the Pete Dye Course at the USGA Men's State Team Championship this week and while it is a team event, it was highlighted by the individual play of the red hot David Pastore of Greenwich, Conn.

Wallach and Zychowski Qualify for Inaugural U.S. Amateur Four-Ball

NEW CITY, N.Y. (September 23, 2014) – Sam Wallach of Randolph, N.J., and Steven Zychowski of Mendham, N.J., earned a trip to The Olympic Club for the Inaugural U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Championship at today’s Sectional Qualifying Round at Paramount Country Club in New City, N.Y. This was the first qualifying round that the MGA has conducted for this event.

MGA to Host Public Golf Forum

Cameron Young Heads to Scotland for Junior Ryder Cup

UPDATED: 10:33 a.m. (September 24, 2014) - For the fourth straight time Team USA won the Junior Ryder Cup this past week and now holds of 5-3-1 edge all time in the competition's young history. The team went to Scotland where the Ryder Cup will take place this weekend and won in dominating fashion 16-8 over Europe's junior team.

Seventy-two amateurs aged 65 and over (with a Handicap Index not exceeding 10.0) will compete in the 18-hole stroke play competition to determine the top super senior in the Met Area.

Met Area Locals at U.S. Senior Am

UPDATED 4:03 p.m. (September 16, 2014) - Al Small led his Round of 32 match for 15 holes, even by as many as 4 up through nine holes. His opponent Chris Hall finally squared the match on the 16th and then proceeded to win in stunning fashion by claiming the final two holes for a 2 up victory. It was a good run for Small and he nearly advanced to the Round of 16 for the first time in his U.S. Senior Amateur career, but came up just short.
