Winners Crowned in Women’s Four-Ball Championship
Red Bank, N.J. (October 23, 2023) On a cold but sunny fall day Ellen Dunkin & Jacqueline Celestino of Bonnie Briar Country Club carded a net 8-under 65 en route to capturing the 38th MGA/MetLife Women’s Fou-Ball Championship, Monday at Navesink Country Club. While Hae Young Kim & Kimberly Chae of Fairway Women of Bethpage earned Gross honors after a match of cards.

The duo of Ellen Dunkin and Jacqueline Celestino had a strong showing topping the leaderboard in both Gross and Net but with this standing as a primarily Net event they claim the Net title. The Tandem had a hot start recording a net eagle on the 10th hole and followed with birdies on 12 and 17. They would make their move up the leaderboard once they made the turn. The pair recorded net birdies on holes 2,3, 6 & 8. They would also have a net eagle on the 7th for a net 31 bringing their score to a net 65 on the par 73 course.
Finishing in a solo second in the Net division was Janine Zlotolow & Kathy Dooley of Swan Lake who finished with a 6-under par with a Net 67. Rounding out the podium was Maryann Zamber & Laura Magliano of Ladies League – Pine Hills along with Deborah Josephs & Jacalyn Aaron of the village Club at Sands Point and Gina Curiale & Connie Parise of Pine Hills Country Club who all finished with a Net 3-under 70.
