Staffing Challenges in the Industry and Best Practices for Recruitment and Retention
Joseph Mendez, CCM, CCE
General Manager/COO Doylestown Country Club, Vice Chairman of the CMAA Board of Directors
Joe’s presentation will focus on staffing challenges in the industry, and some best practices for recruitment and retention. He will delve into some challenging issues, including staff compensation and benefits, employee and member culture and the challenges across the industry. Joe will demonstrate how Clubs are uniquely situated to be the employers of choice in the industry, and what things may be holding some Clubs back from achieving this status. Joe hopes to challenge Club Boards to see this issue for the opportunity it is, and not the challenge so many focus on, with culture being the top item on the list.
