Donnellan, Browne Capture WGA Junior, Boys Titles

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (June 30, 2021) -- A pair of junior trophies were handed out on Wednesday at Westchester Hills Golf Club in the 76th Westchester Junior Championship and 52nd Westchester Boys Championship. Tyler Donnellan of Greenwich was the winner of the Westchester Junior Championship behind his low score of 5-under 65. Donnellan's scorecard consisted of six birdies to just one bogey on the day. He had a strong start on the front nine, using four birdies to turn in 32. Donnellan bested the field by four shots, with Harrison Blech of Spook Rock shooting 1-under 69 and Jake Buch of Millbrook shooting even-par to take second and third place, respectively.

Meanwhile, Harrison Browne of Rolling Hills took the title in the Westchester Boys Championship for the second year in a row after shooting 3-over 73. His round included two birdies on the back nine, which helped him edge Zachary Munno of Stanwich by one shot. Munno also made two birdies, his being on the last two holes to finish the round strong.

The championship also served as a sectional qualifier for the 104th Met Junior Championship Sponsored by MetLife and the 53rd MGA/MetLife Boys Championship, which take place at Tuxedo Club, July 12-14, and Gardiner's Bay Country Club, July 22-23.
