Playing in the morning round, Anderson got off to a hot start by pouring in a birdie on the par-three 2nd. He kept up his consistent play by rattling off seven consecutive pars en route to an outward nine of 1-under 34. Minor slip ups on the inward nine came in the form of bogeys on hole Nos. 11 & 13, however Anderson was able to rebound nicely on both occasions by carding a birdie on No. 12 and an eagle on No. 14. Anderson finished the day as the only player in red figures despite carding an additional bogey on the par-three 17th. This victory marks Anderson’s second of the year, as he hoisted the Long Island Amateur trophy back in June.
