Bethpage Hosts 4th MGA Foundation Public Golf Forum

The 2001 MGA Foundation Public Golf Forum was held on Thursday March 22 at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, NY. This forum brings together leaders of Met Area golf facilities and experts in various fields to discuss topics of mutual concern to public golf facilities.

This year's program focused on key environmental and green grass issues faced by golf course superintendents and facility managers and included presentations by Dr. Frank Rossi, a Turfgrass extension specialist from Cornell University; Dave Oatis, the USGA Northeast Green Section Director; and Ms. Joellen Zeah, a staff ecologist at Audubon International.

The Public Golf Forum is one of many educational programs conducted by the MGA Foundation. For more information on the 2001 Public Golf Forum or other MGA seminars, contact Ian Gillule, Director of Member Services, via e-mail at metrep@mgagolf.org or by phone at (914) 347-4653.
