Graham Leads Qualifiers for 24th U.S. Senior Open

White Plains, N.Y.- Amateur James Graham of Winged Foot Country Club, shot a 2 under par 69 at Elmwood Country Club in White Plains, NY, to lead a group of three golfers who advanced to the 24th U.S. Senior Open, scheduled for June 26th – 29th, 2003, at The Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. Joining him are Louis Carbonetti and six-time NJSGA Amateur Champion, 64-year old Robert Housen of Manasquan River CC, who both carded one-under 70’s to gain their spots in the championship.

They will be joining a field that will already include nine-time MGA Player of the Year, George Zahringer, III. Zahringer earned a full exemption in to the championship by way of his victory over Jerry Courville, Jr. at the 2002 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich, CT.
