Rugge to Discuss Grooves Decision at MGA/Met PGA Rules Seminar

PGA of America’s Mark Wilson to address other Rules topics

 

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 18, 2010) – Dick Rugge, the Senior Technical Director at the USGA, will discuss the new grooves decision as it applies to conditions of competitions at the MGA/Met PGA Rules of Golf Workshop on Tuesday, March 23 at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester, N.Y. Mark Wilson, co-chairman of the PGA of America’s Rules Committee, is also a featured speaker and will address a variety of Rules topics. Both speakers will also lead a Q&A session for the more than 70 golf professionals and MGA committee members who are expected to attend.

A seminar for local golf professionals, club officials and MGA committeemen, the Rules Workshop is held annually at Lake Isle CC and includes discussion on recent Rules decisions, application of the Rules in match play versus stroke play and any other relevant information. The workshop is sponsored by the MGA in conjunction with the Metropolitan Section of the PGA. While open to the public, this seminar is designed to attract people who are deeply interested in the Rules of Golf.
