Miller Jumps to No.32 in World Amateur Rankings

JOHNSTOWN, PENN. (June 17, 2012) - 2011 MGA Player of the Year Mike Miller took a major leap in the Men's World Golf Rankings this past week after his stellar runner-up finish at the 59th Annual Sunnehanna Amateur Tournament of Champions. The 19-year-old jumped 32 places, going from No. 64 to No. 32 on the rankings. The top-50 amateurs in the ranking system get to bypass qualifying for the U.S. Amateur.

With three opening subpar rounds, Miller shared the lead at 7-under entering the final round of the Sunnehanna this past weekend with Alabama’s Bobby Wyatt, who shot a final round of 68 to win the championship. Miller finished with an even par 70.

Recent winners of the Sunnehanna include the 2012 US Open champion Webb Simpson who won the title in 2006 and 2009 US Open Champion Lucas Glover who took the title in 2001.  Ricky Fowler took home the trophy back to back in 2007 and 2008.  Full Results
