Wilson Takes Lead Through Two Rounds of Ike

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (June 25, 2013) - As it stands right now, Cameron Wilson of Shorehaven is on his way to becoming the first repeat Ike champion since Mike Ballo, Jr., won in 2009 and 2010. The University of Stanford senior fired a brilliant 7-under 65 to take a three shot lead into the final 18 holes (10-under total). Coincidentally, Wilson shot a 7-under 65 in last year's second round at Atlantic (which was also a competitive course record) which propelled him to his fourth MGA victory.

But recent NYC Amateur champion Max Buckley lurks in second place, only three shots back after an impressive round of 68, to go along with the 69 he shot yesterday.

Sam Bernstein of Century, reigning two-time MGA Player of the Year Mike Miller, and Bradley Rock, Jr., of Wheatley Hills are tied for third (eight shots back) with totals of 142. 2012 Met Amateur semifinalist Harrison Shih of Alpine is alone in 6th after the  15th hole derailed what was a great round.

Live hole-by-hole scoring will be available for every group in the third and final round.
