Ina Kim-Schaad Wins Women's Met Amateur

Berndardsville, N.J. (July 31, 2019) - Ina Kim-Schaad of Deepdale won her second consecutive WMGA/MGA Women's Met Amateur Championship at Somerset Hills on Wednesday, capturing her third win in the event since 2016.

Kim-Schaad got off to a hot start with a birdie on the first hole, and continued to make four more birdies on the front nine, making the turn at 4-under. She made another birdie on the par 5 10th hole to start the back nine. Ina finished her round at 2-under to take the early lead, which held up throughout the day to earn her the trophy once again. 

Mia Sessa of East Hampton, Alexis Hios of Westchester, and Jennifer Rosenberg of Glen Oaks all finished T2 with matching scores of 3-over 75. 

It was an exciting round for Denise Martorana of Southampton, who recorded a hole-in-one on the par 3 16th hole.

Somerset Hills played to a par 72 at 5,792 yards for the WMGA/MGA Women's Met Amateur, an event the MGA and WMGA have partnered together to host since 2012.
