Register for Upcoming MGA/Met PGA Rules Workshop

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (March 19, 2012) - The Metropolitan Golf Association is proud to welcome Thomas Pagel, USGA senior director of Rules of Golf and Amateur Status, as the guest speaker at the 2012 MGA/Met PGA Rules of Golf Seminar on Tuesday, March 27 at Brae Burn Country Club located in Purchase, N.Y.  

Pagel will lead PGA professionals, local club officials, and others interested in the Rules of Golf in a discussion on new rules changes.  He'll also be fielding questions on specific rules of the game.  

Pagel joined the USGA in January 2012 from the Utah Golf Association, where he served as executive director for the past two years, overseeing all aspects of membership and championship administration.  At the USGA, he is responsible for interfacing with the USGA Rules of Golf Committee and the Joint Rules of Golf Committee on the writing and interpretation of the Rules of Golf and the Decisions on the Rules of Golf.

He previously worked for the Colorado Golf Association, first as assistant director of rules and competitions, then as assistant executive director. Pagel has served as a Rules official at several USGA championships, including the 2010 U.S. Senior Open and the 2008 U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship.
