CLIENT ASSOCIATION INTERNSHIP


 

Position: Intern (Part-Time)

 

The Metropolitan Golf Association, located in Elmsford, N.Y., is seeking a detail oriented individual with strong computer skills to be part of its Client Association Department as a seasonal intern (May to August). The person will be an important part of the MGA’s Client Association Department. The position’s primary duties will be focused on office administration and event planning

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the administration of the Client Association Department
  • Support all the projects and activities of the Client Association Department.
  • Office work to include mailings, scanning and archiving files, data entry, website updates
  • Database entry
  • Assist in creating and preparation of tournament and membership materials for tournaments, mailings and meetings
  • Attend and assist with running tournaments

 

Requirements: 

  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and database programs)
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign a plus
  • Must be detail oriented and able to handle instructions with care and follow-through
  • Must be an excellent multi-tasker and have proven problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks
  • Personable and works well with others
  • Valid driver’s license with access to an automobile and the ability to travel throughout the Tri-State area.

  • Up-beat
  • Dependable
  • Able to use time efficiently
  • Must be a full time student
  • Knowledge of golf helpful, but not required

 

Benefits:

  • $15 per hour; and travel expense reimbursement
  • Monday – Thursday; 25 hours per week, hours dependent on tournament schedule and department needs
