Strong Showing From First Tee of Met NY Participants at Augusta

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (April 6, 2015) - As if qualifying for the Drive, Chip, and Putt Championship at Augusta wasn't cool enough for two First Tee of Metropolitan New York participants, why not make some noise with a strong showing on Easter Sunday. That is exactly what Jennifer Rosenberg of Laurel Hollow, N.Y. (Eisenhower Park participant) and Megha Ganne of Jersey City, N.J. (Essex County participant) did yesterday.

In the girls 14-15 age group, Rosenberg finished in second place thanks to perfect scores in the chipping and putting portions of the championship. Jennifer is already an accomplished young golfer, having won the Club Championship at Glen Oaks Country Club in 2013 by 16 strokes, as well as competing in a U.S. Women's Open Sectional Qualifier last May.

Megha competed in the 10-11 age group and placed sixth, also thanks to great scores in the putting and chipping portions. The second edition of the event was a huge success, and will only continue to grow in popularity. Congrats to our local participants and we hope to see more in the future.
