ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 16, 2009) — Former Met Open (2003) and Met Amateur champion (2004) Andrew Svoboda of Larchmont, N.Y., has been working hard on his game since finding out last Friday that he was officially in the U.S. Open field. Today, he took his preparation to a whole new level, playing nine holes with defending U.S. Open champion Tiger Woods. Svoboda and Woods teed off at 7:00 a.m. on the 10th hole, about the farthest point from the clubhouse as you can get, and finished in front of a large crowd at the 18th hole grandstand.

June 16, 2009 — The MGA Foundation held the third of five MGA/MetLife Youth Clinics on Monday, June 15th at Bethpage State Park. The event was hosted by MetLife in the company’s corporate hospitality tent. The clinic was held during the first day of practice rounds for the 2009 U.S.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 14, 2009) - A field of 156 professionals and amateurs will tee it up in the first round of the U.S. Open at Bethpage Black this coming Thursday, and three of them have strong ties to the Met Area. Though he now makes his home in Fort Worth, Texas, J.J.
