Qualifying: 99th Long Island Open

Elmsford, N.Y. (May 15, 2023) - Two sectional qualifying rounds will determine the final field for the 99th Long Island Championship Presented by Stifel, to be played at Huntington Crescent Club in Huntington, N.Y., June 6-8. The qualifying rounds take place at Indian Hills in Northport on Monday, May 15 and at Bethpage State Park's Red Course on Thursday, May 18.

May 15 - Indian Hills Country Club, Northport, N.Y. 
Amateur Patrick Healy of Huntington earned medalist honors at the Indian Hills qualifier with a 2-under 70. Healy recorded five birdies to offset a few bogeys during his round and secure his place in the championship. Four competitors also had under-par rounds at 1-under: John Hakizimana of Maidstone, Mark Anguiano of Golf v.2, Donne Shin of NYCC, and Nick DeFalco of Piping Rock. Dan Sposato of Colonial Springs and amateur Thomas Finn of Nassau shared scores of even-par to qualify. A total of 35 competitors recorded scores of 6-over or better to qualify.
