MGA Foundation Hosts First MetLife Youth Clinic of 2015

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (July 10, 2015) – On Wednesday, July 8 a group of eager junior golfers participated in the first MGA/MetLife Youth Clinic of the summer at The Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield, CT.

Upon their arrival to the facility, juniors were given one-on-one coaching at four different stations by instructors at the new venue. Stations were designated to the specialties of driving, chipping, putting, and physical fitness. A few light rain showers appeared but did not dampen the mood of the day, as all participants constantly wore a smile and gleefully exclaimed how much fun they were having.

"We are very pleased to have partnered with the MGA, MetLife, and The First Tee to provide a fun, educational afternoon of golf for a great group of kids.  We certainly hope to do it again," Dennis Hillman, Director of Instruction at The Golf Performance Center in Ridgefield, remarked on the day.

Adding to the excitement was a visit by Snoopy, the official mascot of MetLife. MetLife is the official supporter of the MGA Foundation and made the day’s event possible. This event was the first in a series of youth clinics conducted annually by the MGA Foundation and MetLife.  The next clinic will be held at the USGA headquarters in Far Hills, NJ.

MetLife has been a partner of the MGA for more than 30 years and is the Official Supporter of the MGA Foundation.
