The Met Golfer has been named Best Publication by the International Network of Golf.

At the ING Media Awards in January, held virtually due to the pandemic, The Met Golfer was named Best Publication for the year 2020.  The issue submitted for consideration was the June/July edition, with the “Brains v. Brawn” cover story on short par-4s.  This was the third time in five years that The Met Golfer has received this recognition.

In addition, Adam Schupak was a first place winner in the Best Profile category for “Passion Project,” his article about ESPN’s Mike Greenberg. Mark Herrmann was named an Outstanding Achiever in the Business Writing category for “Who’s Afraid of Virtual Golf,” and Jeff Neuman also received Outstanding Achiever recognition in Travel Writing for “My Heart Is in the Highlands.”

Met Golfer columnist Bill Fields was the first-place winner in Business Writing for an article he contributed to PineStraw Magazine about Bob Dedman, Jr.
