MGA Foundation Caddie Academies

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 10, 2021) -- The MGA Foundation's annual Caddie Academies will take place virtually once again in 2021, with each session taking place from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. as a webinar. Through these online sessions, attendees will learn skills and best practices that serve as an introduction to being a caddie.

The first Caddie Academies of the season, set for March 1, 3, 8 and 10, are currently open for registration.

The role of the caddie has long been an integral part of golf in the Met Area and the MGA Foundation continues to support young adults participation as an important part of the tradition. Upon completion of this webinar, viewers will be asked to complete a short test before being awarded their certificate of completion. Although not a prerequisite for caddieing, the MGA Foundation's Caddie Academies are excellent introductory opportunities to learn more about becoming a caddie. They have served as the first step to obtaining a caddie position for many juniors over the last 25 years.
