Inactive Score Posting Season Now in Effect in Met Area

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (November 1, 2012) - Starting Thursday, November 1 and continuing through Sunday, March 31, 2013, the Met Area officially observes the inactive score posting season. All rounds of golf played in the Met Area between these dates are ineligible to be posted for Handicap Index purposes. The Met Area's active score posting season extends from April 1 through October 31.

However, if you play a round of golf in an area of the country (Florida, Arizona, or Southern California, to name a few) that observes a year-round score posting season, those scores are eligible and should be posted for handicap calculation purposes.

Also, due to the National Revision Schedule change last year, revisions of Handicap Indexes will continue on the 1st and 15th of each month throughout the year, even during the Met Area's inactive season. This means that any scores you post from year-round sections will factor into your Handicap Index on the next possible revision.
