Waccabuc Hosts First Tee Tournament of Champions

WACCABUC, N.Y. (AUGUST 6, 2012)– On Monday, August 6, The First Tee of Metropolitan New York (TFTMNY) held its 2012 Inter-Facility Tournament of Champions at Waccabuc Country Club in Waccabuc, N.Y. After a month of competitions, six teams representing TFTMNY facilities came ready to play 18 holes to determine who would hoist the Connie DeLoca Cup, named in honor of the late past president and longtime junior chairman of the Metropolitan Golf Association.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (June 15, 2012) - The First Tee of Metropolitan New York congratulates Robert Mazziotti of Westbury, N.Y., on being named a semifinalist for the 2012 RBS Achievers of the Year award. For his efforts, he will receive a $3,000 scholarship to help fund his post-secondary education.

Hamilton Farm Hosts MGA/MetLife Youth Clinic

GLADSTONE, N.J. (May 19, 2012) – The MGA Foundation conducted the first of three annual MGA/MetLife Youth Clinics on Saturday, May 19 at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in Gladstone, N.J. The event was held in conjunction with the LPGA’s Sybase Match Play Championship and featured more than 35 junior golfers from The First Tee of Metropolitan New York’s Plainfield West and Weequahic Park sites. The young participants were welcomed by MetLife’s affable mascot, Snoopy, before enjoying a day of golf instruction.
