The USGA Museum and Arnold Palmer Center for Golf History in Far Hills has extended a special buy-one-admission, get-one-free offer to all Metropolitan Golf Association members who would like to visit the Museum. The USGA Museum reopened last June after three years of renovation and expansion, and its new facility provides visitors the opportunity to explore golf history in America from the perspective of the USGA, its national championships and its champions.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 26, 2009) - The MGA Foundation has announced the 2009 Spring Educational Forums schedule. These programs feature presentations by industry experts that are designed to educate club leaders and the golfing public about a wide range of topics of interest including the Rules of Golf, handicapping procedures and new technology.
The MGA, along with hundreds of other individuals and businesses representing the golf industry, will be at the 5th Annual Lower Hudson Valley Golf Show at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, N.Y., on Saturday & Sunday, March 14 and 15. Met Area golfers will have the opportunity to visit travel booths as well as participate in numerous equipment and instruction activities.

(February 6, 2009) – Solidifying its position as the country’s finest regional golf publication, The Met Golfer won four Outstanding Achiever awards in four different categories at the International Network of Golf’s (ING) 16th Annual Media Awards on January 29 at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla. The Met Golfer, the official publication of the Metropolitan Golf Association, reaches more than 100,000 households in the Met Area.
ELMSFORD, N.Y. (February 4, 2009) — A number of Met Area professionals were in Florida in late January to compete in the PGA of America’s early season competitions. C.J. Reeves of Century CC in Purchase, N.Y., captured the TaylorMade-adidas PGA Women’s Stroke Play Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on January 22. On the men’s side, Frank Esposito of Brooklake CC in Florham Park, N.J., finished t-2nd at the TaylorMade-adidas PGA Stroke Play Championship, also at PGA Golf Club.
