Wilson and Oswald win the 50th MGA/WMGA Mixed Pinehurst Championship Presented by The Landings

HASTINGS-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. (September 10, 2013) – Two former St. John’s University golfers Pat Wilson and Ellen Oswald teamed up today to win the 50th MGA/WMGA Mixed Pinehurst Championship Presented by The Landings at The Saint Andrew’s Golf Club. Panther Valley’s Wilson, the 2013 Met Amateur champion, and Westchester’s Oswald, the 2013 WMGA Match Play and Stroke Play champion, shot a 5-under 66 to win the championship by one stroke.

SCARSDALE, N.Y. (August 26, 2013) – Tranquil weather and beautiful course conditions at Sunningdale Country Club in Scarsdale, N.Y., offered up ideal scoring opportunities for the first wave of players in the 17th MGA Senior Open.

Fourteen of out the 54 players who teed it up in the morning were able to shoot under par, led by two-time Met Open champion (’92 and ’08) Mark Mielke of Mill River, who fired a bogey-free 6-under 65. His fantastic front-nine 31 included three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 7th.
