(September 29, 2015) – Trevor Randolph of Arcola notched his first-ever MGA victory at the 9^th MGA Mid-Am Championship on Tuesday, as his 1-under 69 in the final round at Nassau Country Club earned him a one-shot win. His two-day total of 137 (68-69) matches the lowest winning total in the young tournament’s history, also being done in 2012 and 2013.

GLEN COVE, N.Y. (September 28, 2015) – Sleepy Hollow’s John Ervasti fired a 6-under 64 in the opening round of the 9^th MGA Mid-Amateur Championship, Monday at Nassau Country Club. His 64 matches the low round in the tournament’s history, and earns him a two-shot lead entering Tuesday’s final round.

WESTFIELD, N.J. (September 24, 2015) – It took four playoff holes, but Ron Vannelli of Forsgate defended his championship in the 4^th Senior Masters Tournament, defeating Steve Rose at Echo Lake Country Club with a birdie three on the par-4 third. The playoff was the first in the tournament’s young history.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (September 21, 2015) – The fourth MGA Senior Masters Tournament is set for Thursday, September 24 at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, N.J. The MGA’s youngest championship features 63 amateurs aged 65 and over with handicaps of 10.0 or less competing over 18 holes of stroke play.

ROSLYN, N.Y. (September 1, 2015) – Mark Mielke turned in the only even-par score in Tuesday’s final round of the 19^th MGA Senior Open at the Engineers Country Club, as he tallied a 2-under 140 tournament total for a two-shot victory. Mielke, the only player to finish the 36-hole event under-par, now owns four career MGA titles, adding to his 1987 Public Links and 1992 and 2008 Met Open titles.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. (August 28, 2015) – The area’s top amateurs and professionals 50 years of age and older will make their way to Engineers Country Club in Roslyn, N.Y., August 31 and September 1, for the 19^th MGA Senior Open Championship.

Ben Polland of Deepdale and amateur Cameron Young of Sleepy Hollow posted the morning’s best scores at even-par 70.
