(July 2, 2014) - Each year, GOLFWORKS, the MGA Foundation’s cornerstone internship program, provides impactful summer employment at Met Area clubs to more than 230 deserving high school students. Now in its 20th year, the success of GOLFWORKS can be credited for the willingness of MGA member clubs to hire teenagers, many whom have little or no work experience. J.D.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - The field for the 2014 U.S. Senior Open at Oak Tree National in Edmond, Okla. is set and three-time Met Open Champion Darrel Kestner of Glen Cove, N.Y. is one of the few Met Area local club pros that will tee it up the week of July 10-13. Kestner, the Director of Golf at Deepdale, will join names like Fred Couples, Kenny Perry, and Bernhard Langer as they all attempt to capture the 35th U.S. Senior Open.

ELMSFORD, N.Y. - This year will be the final playing of the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship and the field features some local Met Area players and ones that could certainly contend for the trophy. The last edition of the event will be played at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kansas on July 14-19.
