EDISON, N.J. (August 22, 2012) - Players were greeted with ideal scoring and weather conditions at Plainfield Country Club during the first two rounds of the Met Open.

But Director of Rules & Competitions Brian Mahoney and his team have made several changes to the course for the final round, which isn't expected to yield as many low scores. Changes are as follows:

In fact, only seven players have gone back-to-back in the history of the championship, and it hasn’t been done since PGA Tour winner Johnson Wagner did it back in 2001 and 2002. But after opening up this year’s championship at Plainfield Country Club with a 6-under 66, Tyler Hall of Packanack will give it his best shot.

Updated 3:20 p.m. (August 16, 2012) - Despite never seeing a deficit in the match, Mike Miller of Brewster, N.Y., lost in 20-holes to Oliver Goss of Australia. Miller was up as much as three in the match, but lost the final hole to force a playoff. Miller was the last Met Area contestant in the Championship.
